Why use UTM parameters?

UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) parameters are short text codes that you add to URLs (or links) to help you track the performance of webpages or campaigns. When a user clicks on a link with UTM parameters, the tags are sent back to your Google Analytics property, allowing you to see exactly which marketing efforts are driving traffic and conversions.

Using a standardized UTM strategy ensures that your marketing data remains clean and easily readable. Always use lowercase letters and replace spaces with dashes or underscores to avoid broken links.
